Key duties and responsibilities
- Manage a mixed case load of insolvency appointments and assist team members
- Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and occasionally, Bankruptcies
- Handle creditors’ claims, including secured, preferential, and unsecured claims
- Report to secured creditors
- Support ongoing trading on-site when required
- Prepare documentation for statutory meetings
- Assist employees with claims and liaise with redundancy services
- Manage correspondence, including non-standard communications
- Maintain books and records, ensuring their safety and proper storage
- Conduct statutory investigations and pursue transactions
- Process banking and cheque requests to handle estate monies
- Complete VAT and Corporation tax returns
- Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS
- Update case tasks and diaries
- Liaise with professionals such as agents, solicitors, and accountants
- Prepare documents for sale contracts
- Maintain case checklists
- Attend meetings and participate in marketing events
- Train and support junior staff
Reporting, relationships & management
- Support and train staff, delegate tasks
- Assist other case executives
- Report case progress to IP
Qualifications & experience
- AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience with corporate insolvency appointments within an IP firm required
- Knowledge of IPS Cloud is advantageous
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and IPS
- Maintain high professional standards
- Stay updated with legislation and best practices
- Organize and manage time efficiently and flexibly
- Communicate effectively and confidently
- Display professionalism and interpersonal skills
- Take responsibility and manage workload and deadlines
- Keep IP informed of progress and issues
