Job Description:

Key duties and responsibilities
  • Manage a mixed caseload of formal insolvency appointments and assist team members
  • Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and sometimes Bankruptcy
  • Address creditors’ claims, including retention of title, secured, preferential, and unsecured claims
  • Report to secured creditors
  • Assist in continuing trading on-site when needed
  • Prepare documentation for statutory meetings
  • Assist employees with claims and liaise with redundancy services
  • Handle correspondence, including non-standard ones
  • Maintain accurate books and records, ensuring their safekeeping and storage
  • Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions
  • Handle estate monies correctly via banking and cheque forms
  • Complete VAT and Corporation tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS
  • Maintain and update case diaries and checklists
  • Coordinate with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants
  • Prepare supporting documents for sales
  • Attend meetings and participate in marketing events
  • Delegate tasks and train junior staff
Reporting, relationships & management
  • Support and train staff, delegate tasks
  • Assist case executives as needed
  • Report case progress to IP
Qualifications & experience
  • AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience with corporate insolvency appointments within an IP firm required
  • Knowledge of IPS Cloud is beneficial but not essential
  • Proficient in IT, especially Excel, Word, and IPS
  • Maintain high professional standards
  • Stay updated with legislation and best practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Professional manner with good interpersonal skills
  • Responsible and deadline-oriented
  • Enthusiastic and committed to completing tasks
  • Promote the firm positively at networking events
