Job summary

Lori Walsh Recruitment is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator for its Southampton office. The role focuses on providing shipping/logistics quotes for imports and exports, and chasing quotes to win business.

You will join a growing team and support customers with timely pricing and service information. The position is full-time, based in Southampton, Hampshire, with standard office hours and a focus on building client relationships without cold calling.

Qualifications

• Good communication and phone skills.
• Interest or knowledge in shipping/logistics desired.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and chase quotes.

Responsibilities

• Call customers with quotes for Import/Export bookings/deliveries.
• Prepare and present quotes for customers.
• Follow up on quotes to secure business.
• Build relationships with customers to understand needs.
• No cold calling; contact via warm leads only.
• Work hours: Monday–Friday 9:00–17:30.

Our Client is part of a Global Shipping and Logistics organisation and Ships worldwide for its customers.They are currently looking for an Inside sales coordinator to work within their Inside sales team at their Southampton office.The role is due to growth within the office.

Purpose of the role:

To provide shipping/logistics quotes for both Imports and Exports for their clients and to chase up on quotes given to try to gain the business.

Duties will include:

• Calling customers with quotes for Import/Export bookings/deliveries.
• Putting quotes together for the customer.
• Following up later in the day to see how the client found the price of the quote.
• Try to establish some form of relationship with the customer, finding out as much information as you can to try and secure the business.
• No cold calling.
• Office Hours- Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm

Requirements

Experience required:

• They are looking for someone ideally with a bit of knowledge in the shipping and logistics industry in either sales or administration/operations.
• Someone happy to pick up a phone and speak to customers (no cold calling)
• A friendly, positive person to join our growing team
• Somebody happy working in a fast paceenvironment
