Job summary

Ison Harrison Solicitors in Leeds is seeking an experienced Inquest Solicitor or Legal Executive. You will handle inquests, including Article 2 matters, and provide expert advice on LAA funding while delivering exceptional legal representation to clients.

You will manage a complex caseload, liaise with coroners and stakeholders, and uphold the firm’s values in an employee-owned environment with a profit-sharing scheme.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant inquest experience.
• Knowledge of Article 2 inquests and LAA funding.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in inquests, including Article 2 inquests
• Provide expert advice on LAA funding and other funding options
• Conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed submissions
• Liaise with coroners, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure the highest standards of legal practice and client care.
• Managing a complex caseload involving deaths in custody, mental health-related fatalities, and matters arising from alleged clinical negligence.
