Job summary

Ison Harrison Solicitors invites an experienced Inquest Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Leeds team. You will handle inquests, including Article 2 cases, and provide guidance on LAA funding to clients with sensitivity and clarity.

The ideal candidate has a strong inquest background and excellent advocacy and communication skills, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant inquest experience.
• Knowledge of Article 2 inquests and LAA funding.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to client-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in inquests, including Article 2 inquests.
• Provide expert advice on LAA funding and other funding options.
• Conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed submissions.
• Liaise with coroners, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure the highest standards of legal practice and client care.
• Managing a complex caseload involving deaths in custody, mental health-related fatalities, and matters arising from alleged clinical negligence.
