Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Rehabilitation Assistant to join the In Patient Therapy Service. You will work with Therapists and support staff across Acute and Trauma Orthopaedic wards, A&E, and assessment wards, delivering hospital-based therapy interventions.

The role requires participation in therapy-based competencies and experience in health/social care. You will work on a 7-day rota with weekend coverage and flexibility for late shifts up to 6pm as

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care setting.
• Willing to work as part of a team in inpatient therapy.
• Able to participate in weekend roster and late cover.
• Willing to undertake therapy-based competencies under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled support to patients with illness or injury under supervision.
• Assist in inpatient therapies across wards and front-end services.
• Follow rehabilitation plans and protocols as directed by registered practitioners.
• Escalate non-routine issues to a registered practitioner for resolution.
