Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Rehabilitation Assistant to join the In Patient Therapy Service. The role supports therapists and the wider team across acute hospital wards, A&E, and assessment areas. A commitment to therapy-based competencies and experience in health/social care is required.

The post involves flexible hours, weekend rosters, and late cover until 6pm on a rota basis, with opportunities to contribute to team development and patient care plans.

Qualifications

• You must be willing to take part in therapy based competencies.
• Experience working in a health/social care setting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake skilled support work with patients to assist therapy interventions.
• Work across Inpatient Therapies and in associated wards.
• Support treatment and care under supervision of registered practitioners.
• Take responsibility for delegated workload following screening/assessment.
• Follow rehabilitation plans/procedures devised by a registered practitioner.
• Escalate issues outside your scope to registered practitioners.
• May carry out visits to patients' homes prior to discharge from hospital.
