Job summary

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Generic Therapy Assistant to join the Inpatient Orthopaedic Therapy Team. The role supports the rehabilitation of orthopaedic inpatients and works closely with patients, families and the MDT to maximise independence.

The Trust provides a 7-day service, benefits including NHS pension, relocation support and ongoing professional development. Weekend work is a requirement of the role.

• Undertake a wide variety of duties delegated by Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams.
• Provide person-centred care to Orthopaedic Inpatients to aid rehabilitation.
• Support patients and families and work with Therapy and Nursing colleagues.
