Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Inpatient Therapy Team at Rotherham Hospital. You will work within a large MDT, delivering early assessment and therapeutic care, including exercises and activities of daily living, to support early discharge from hospital.

You will contribute to a 7-day approach to therapeutic assessment and intervention, while maintaining patient safety and empathetic care.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 5 qualification or equivalent (DipHe, Foundation degree, HND, NVQ5).
• Essential: Maths & English Level 2 if not GCSE.
• Essential: Able to travel independently and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
• Desirable: Care certificate

Responsibilities

• 37 hours 30 minutes per week, 08:30–16:30, Monday–Friday with weekend working.
• Carry own patient caseload with early assessment and therapy needs identification.
• Deliver therapeutic care (manual handling, mobilisation, exercises, ADLs) or MDT support.
• Support timely discharge planning and referrals to community services.
