Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Integrated Therapy Assistant to join the Clifton Therapy team at Clifton Hospital in Lytham St Annes. The post involves supporting assessment and rehabilitation of patients, working with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to improve mobility and independence, and contributing to safe discharge planning.

The role requires understanding of physiotherapy and occupational therapy approaches, with training opportunities

Qualifications

Evidence of recent appropriate study, development, and application in the work environment.
Working towards or completed NVQ Level III or Health & Social Care qualification
Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care.
Good knowledge of the role of an Occupational Therapist
Good knowledge of the role of a Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, treatment, intervention and discharge planning of clients as directed by a physiotherapist or occupational therapist.
Assess and prescribe mobility aids, equipment and minor adaptations with supervisor guidance.
Assist in delivering therapeutic activities for individuals and groups.
Manage a designated caseload and prioritise tasks daily.
Engage in Continued Professional Development with support from supervisors.
Educate/teach therapy students as part of the team.
