Job summary

Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (Band 6) for the inpatient unit at Teddington Memorial Hospital. This 12-month fixed-term post supports a busy multidisciplinary team and offers opportunities to lead on complex cases.

You will assess, plan and implement patient-centred interventions, mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating with partner organisations to optimise community bed usage and patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Based in the inpatient unit at Teddington Memorial Hospital, delivering high-quality holistic patient care.
• Carry out assessments for a caseload addressing occupational performance and complex needs.
• Collaborate with clients and staff to set treatment goals balancing risk, independence and services eligibility.
• Use communication, reasoning and negotiation to establish therapeutic relationships in complex cases.
