University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rotation. You will develop specialist skills across acute inpatient services, handling complex physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs within elderly-care, medicine and surgery settings.

The role offers a supernumerary induction period, extensive supervision and opportunities for leadership, with a forward-looking therapy service and commitment to patient-focused care.

Qualificações

• Manage caseload of patients with varying diagnoses and complex needs.
• Support the education, supervision and professional development of students and staff.
• Develop enhanced clinical skills and knowledge aligned to patient needs and service priorities.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of inpatient Occupational Therapy services.
• Participate in 7-day working patterns as required.

Responsabilidades

• To manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnoses and / or complex needs, using evidence-based practice with client centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
• To support the education, supervision and professional development of students and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• To develop and maintain enhanced clinical skills and knowledge, relevant to the needs of the patient population and service priorities
• To contribute to the Trust and Group clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda, including the setting and monitoring of practice standards, clinical risks, and Health & Safety
• To participate in 7-day working patterns as required
