NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join the inpatient mental health team at Rowanbank Clinic. You will support assessments, care planning, and recovery-focused interventions, promoting dignity and patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary setting.

The role involves safeguarding, risk management and maintaining records, with supervision and ongoing professional development. A rotating 36-hour pattern includes day and night shifts.

Formación

• Knowledge of person-centred, recovery-focused mental health care.
• Understanding of the Healthcare Support Worker Code of Conduct.
• Awareness of current mental health legislation and relevant healthcare policy.
• Understanding of risk assessment, risk management and safeguarding principles.
• Knowledge of equality, diversity, dignity and respect within healthcare settings.
• Understanding of infection prevention and control procedures.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements within a clinical environment.
• Knowledge of confidentiality, information governance and record keeping standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications and electronic patient record systems.
• Understanding of health promotion and wellbeing approaches.
• Ability to recognise and escalation changes in a patient's condition.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
• Willingness to undertake and maintain all mandatory and statutory training relevant to the role.
• Participation in supervision and appraisal processes.
• Ability to safely use clinical equipment and follow local procedures.
