NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting a Senior Health Care Support Worker to join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient care. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife in acute and community settings, carrying out a range of clinical tasks to support safe and compassionate care.

The role requires SVQ Level 3 or equivalent, mandatory training, good communication, and the ability to work within policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent knowledge.
• Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
• Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
• Complete required statutory and mandatory training.
• Understand and follow relevant policies and procedures.
• Work under supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife.

Responsabilités

• Deliver patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
• Carry out observations and tests (blood pressure, urinalysis, pregnancy testing).
• Undertake delegated clinical tasks (wound observation, dressings, cannula removal, stoma bag changes).
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical/psychological needs.
• Assist safe transfer of patients and respond to enquiries.
