Job summary

Hussmann Corporation seeks an experienced engineer to lead refrigeration product design and evaluation. You will collaborate with Lead Engineers on conceptual design, contribute to制造 design for sheet metal, copper tubing, electrical assemblies, welded frames, and top-level system assemblies.

You will validate designs through prototypes, DFMEAs, DVP&R, and first articles, while planning releases in the PLM system and driving improvements in quality, cost, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Design and Evaluation experience for Refrigerated Products.
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• SolidEdge 3D modeling experience.
• Experience interpreting CFD/FEA simulations and translating results into design improvements.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Engineers on conceptual design of refrigerated display cases.
• Design for Manufacturing using formed sheet metal, copper tubing, electrical assemblies, welded frames, sub-assemblies, and system assemblies.
• Ensure product releases meet customer requirements and quality targets.
• Plan and coordinate product releases within the PLM system.
• Support innovation, quality, function, and cost improvements.
• Troubleshoot products, processes, and tooling; implement corrective actions.
• Validate new designs via prototypes and first-article inspections.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and computer technologies.
