Job summary

ProGroup Recruitment Limited is seeking a Technical & Product Development Engineer for a varied role combining product development, technical support and hands-on problem solving. You will work with the Technical Director and production team to develop new products, improve designs and guide colleagues and customers from concept to production.

Qualifications

Strong technical aptitude and practical, hands-on problem solving.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and develop workable solutions.
Excellent attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
Organised and proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities and own tasks.
Commercial awareness and understanding of how design affects production, quality and cost.

Responsibilities

Support the development of new products and configurations from concept through to production.
Produce and review technical drawings, product details and specifications.
Build, install and trial prototypes; evaluate materials and components.
Investigate technical queries and provide practical guidance to internal teams and customers.
Collaborate with production to improve performance, quality, cost and ease of manufacture.
Review certification documents, test reports and regulatory changes as needed.
Create and maintain technical manuals, product guides and other documentation.
