Job summary

Product Support Engineer role in Milton Keynes with a focus on supporting existing products, driving improvements and collaborating with production teams. You will resolve issues, implement design modifications and manage engineering change processes.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical design background, proficiency in Creo CAD and strong problem-solving skills, with opportunities to work across Production, Quality and Service teams.

Qualifications

Are you a mechanically minded engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and seeing your designs make a real impact on production? We are recruiting for a Product Support Engineer to join a well established engineering manufacturer where you will play a key role in supporting existing products, driving continuous improvement, and working closely with production teams to deliver practical engineering solutions

As a Product Support Engineer, you'll be involved in everything from resolving manufacturing issues and implementing design modifications through to supporting engineering change processes and maintaining CAD documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical design background who enjoys a varied position combining design, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Product Support Engineer - Milton Keynes - Up to £45,000

Product Support Engineer's Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for existing products and manufacturing operations.
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Create and update 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation using Creo CAD software.
• Manage engineering changes from initial investigation through to implementation, working with production and wider business functions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Sales and Service teams to support product performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required as a Product Support Engineer:

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience within a mechanical design, product support, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency with Creo or a comparable 3D CAD package.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience investigating technical or manufacturing issues.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, GD&T, and engineering change management would be advantageous. Experience with AutoCAD, Windchill, hydraulics or control systems would also be beneficial.
