Job summary

Matthew James Group Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical skills to produce 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, and robust BOMs for manufacturing.

You will develop new designs, modify existing products, and ensure all drawings include precise dimensions, tolerances and material specs, while collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and maintain proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive industrial engineering/design experience.
• Experience producing manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Good understanding of engineering principles and design for manufacture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models, assemblies and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Develop new designs and modify existing products.
• Produce fabrication and assembly drawings with dimensions, tolerances and materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design issues.
• Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications and requirements.
