Job summary

First Call Contract Services Limited in Ashford is seeking a hands-on Tool Hanger / Setter to join their plastics manufacturing team. You will operate injection moulding machines, perform tool changes and help with tool trials in a busy production environment.

The role is temp-to-perm with a pay rate of £13.00–£14.00 per hour, reflective of experience. You will work 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating plastic injection moulding machines is essential.
• Experience with tool changes or setting is advantageous but training is provided.
• Experience with quality control in a manufacturing environment is desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic injection moulding machines safely and efficiently.
• Carry out tool changes and tool setting where required.
• Assist with tool trials and support tooling into production.
• Monitor quality of components and ensure they meet standards.
• Identify quality issues and report to the team.
• Work with toolmakers on tooling repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate tool changes with charge hands and production schedules.
• Ensure machinery and tooling operate correctly and safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow SOPs.
