Job summary

Linx Printing Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Lead to drive reliability and security for on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.

The role is based on site in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, with a small IT team and opportunities to modernise operations using automation and AI. You will own Windows Server, AD, Hyper‑V/VMware, Azure and AWS environments, manage NetApp storage, and oversee patching, DR and security hardening.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with senior/3rd‑line ownership of enterprise infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP and enterprise virtualization (Hyper‑V/VMware).
• Hands‑on administration of Azure and/or AWS infrastructure, including security configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in server patching, vulnerability remediation, backup/DR, and PowerShell scripting.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a small IT team.

Responsibilities

• Own Windows Server, Active Directory and Hyper‑V environments, including provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Manage Azure and AWS infrastructure, NetApp storage, backup and DR.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for infrastructure incidents and deliver permanent fixes.
• Lead patch management, vulnerability remediation and security hardening across servers and cloud.
• Build PowerShell automation and explore AI opportunities to improve IT operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of 3–4 IT professionals and manage infrastructure projects with vendors.
