Job summary

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) seeks a Vice President to lead Infrastructure Structured Finance in the UK. You will support debt advisory, underwriting and lending projects across the UK, ROI and Nordics, driving client relationships and coordinating with cross‑functional teams in a frontline role mounted from London.

You’ll manage deal execution, develop fundraising strategies, and mentor junior staff, while aligning with Markets, Risk and Legal to deliver competitive funding

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a similar role within Structured Finance.
• Deep infrastructure sector knowledge and interest.
• In-depth understanding of debt, equity and derivative markets and solutions.
• Demonstrable track record of building productive business relationships.
• Experience of writing proposals and supporting business development activities.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts to a senior audience.
• Modelling skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience of leading and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the debt advisory segment as well as underwriting and lending projects.
• Lead execution of new and existing mandates across lending and debt advisory.
• Structure and place debt financing and oversee advisory teams during due diligence and marketing.
• Negotiate terms with clients and advisors and present transactions to internal committees.
• Build strong relationships with key clients and monitor market dynamics for insights.
