Job summary

Santander is seeking a Vice President for Infrastructure Structured Finance in London. You will lead advisory and lending mandates across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics, shaping financing strategies and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Role requires deep infrastructure expertise, strong modelling, and proven leadership. You’ll mentor staff, manage client relationships, and drive proposals and due diligence to successful deal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a similar role within Structured Finance.
• Deep infrastructure sector knowledge and interest.
• Understanding of debt, equity and derivative markets and solutions.
• Track record of building productive business relationships.
• Experience writing proposals and supporting business development activities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for a senior audience.
• Modelling skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience leading and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to idea generation by understanding client needs and objectives, pitching opportunities to them and working jointly with the team head and other areas of CIB such as Debt Capital Markets, Ratings Advisory and Risk Solutions.
• Acting as a facilitator between the client and different lending platforms/solutions such as Banks, Debt Funds, Pensions Funds, enabling sourcing of the most adequate and competitive sources of funding.
• Leading the execution of new and existing mandates, across both lending and debt advisory.
• For advisory: leading the structuring and placement of debt financing, including leading an advisory team in preparing a financial model and coordinating due diligence.
• For lending: leading a team in reviewing diligence materials, model and documentation, negotiating terms, and presenting to internal committees.
• Building strong and long-lasting relationships with key clients and staying abreast of market dynamics.
• Understanding client needs and applying insights to recommend short and/or long-term solutions.
• Mentoring and developing less experienced staff.
