Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Associate Planner to join our team and support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent and approvals under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008 and Transport and Works Act Order.

The role requires a degree in town planning and RTPI membership, plus strong client liaison and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in town planning.
• RTPI membership.

Responsibilities

• Manage or lead town planning inputs on major infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical advice to clients and manage consenting requirements.
• Coordinate submission of consent applications under planning acts.
• Support negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
• Lead engagement with multidisciplinary teams and provide oversight.
• Develop knowledge and mentoring within the team.
