Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Infrastructure Division to drive growth across major UK projects. You will identify, qualify and close opportunities, build strategic client relationships and lead meetings to convert inquiries into profitable revenue.

You will travel across the UK, engaging with contractors, consultants and asset owners, while collaborating with technical teams to craft client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of business development and sales growth in infrastructure or related services.
• Strong understanding of the UK construction and infrastructure market.
• Ability to build and convert a high-quality sales pipeline.
• Experience engaging with senior client stakeholders and decision makers.
• Comfort working autonomously while contributing to a national team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new opportunities across Infrastructure.
• Develop strategic relationships with major contractors, owners and consultants.
• Lead client meetings, presentations and technical-commercial discussions.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline with clear forecasting.
• Support bids, tenders and framework submissions.
• Travel across the UK to meet clients and attend events.
