Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth in construction materials testing across the Midlands and North. You will develop a strong commercial pipeline, convert opportunities, and manage client relationships while collaborating with operations to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• A demonstrable track record of sales growth in the construction/construction materials testing sector.
• A strong network of industry contacts and a solid reputation for developing a sales pipeline and delivering on sales.
• A good knowledge and understanding of construction materials and earthworks specifications.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to potential client prospects.
• Support with delivering written sales proposals/bids.
• Close liaison with operations managers to ensure correct contract review and successful project delivery.
• Closing sales opportunities with tenacity and pro-activity.
• Reporting on sales pipeline to the Sales Director via regular meetings.
• Supporting the wider sales team with cross-divisional sales activity.
