Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive growth across our Infrastructure Division, building and converting a robust pipeline with contractors, asset owners and consultants. You will identify opportunities across Ground Investigation, Foundations Testing, Monitoring and Pavements, delivering tailored solutions to clients.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of business development and sales growth within infrastructure or related technical services.
• Strong understanding of the UK construction and infrastructure market.
• Experience developing relationships with major contractors, asset owners or infrastructure organisations.
• Ability to build, manage and convert a high-quality sales pipeline.
• Strong commercial awareness with understanding of margin, revenue and risk.

Responsibilities

• Grow the Infrastructure client base and revenue against an annual sales target.
• Develop and lead a structured BD programme to qualify and close opportunities.
• When needed, engage with senior client stakeholders and present compelling solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to tailor client offerings.
• Attend industry events to generate opportunities and strengthen market presence.
• Maintain a qualified sales pipeline with accurate revenue forecasting.
