Job summary

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service in Exeter is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Digital, Data and Technology team. The role focuses on core infrastructure services, on-premises and cloud, security, reliability and continuous improvement.

You will work with Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, Intune/SCCM and other tools, maintain documentation and support service delivery.

Qualifications

• It requires strong patching and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with patch management and automation tools.
• Cyber security and vulnerability management experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems, alerts and patching to ensure security and performance.
• Use patch management and automation tools to improve services.
• Maintain and enhance ICT infrastructure across the Service.
• Support endpoint devices including MDM and MAM policies.
• Work with Azure, Hyper-V and VMware.
• Support cyber security initiatives and vulnerability remediation.
• Produce technical documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and partners.
