Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a skilled Windows Server specialist for an onsite Derby role. You will operate in a highly secure, enterprise-scale environment, providing third-line support across Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, and related technologies.

You will review delivery, work to SLAs, and advise on architectural improvements. You will work with a collaborative onsite team, handling complex incidents, designing and deploying Windows-based solutions, and offering remote on-call

Qualifications

• DV clearance or SC clearance and DV eligibility requirement.
• Experience in a third-line capacity in Managed Services providing specialist support across Windows Server platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to make key technical decisions independently.
• Prioritisation and task management skills.

Job description

You'll join an onsite team supporting a highly secure, enterprise-scale customer environment in Derby.

Working across Wintel server, networking and infrastructure technologies, you'll play an important role in maintaining critical services while contributing to ongoing technical improvement and project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working in a collaborative, onsite team environment.

Experience/Clearances:

• Either currently holds DV clearance or SC cleared and eligible to undertake DV.
• Experience working of a third line capacity in Managed Services providing specialised support across Windows Server Platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstratable ability to make key technical decisions independently.
• Prioritisation and task management skills.

• Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP, and Kerberos.
• VMware/VxRail.

• Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022 & 2025) - including server core.
• Skype for Business 2019/SE.
• Windows 10.
• Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.).
