Job summary

VIQU Limited in Central London is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support a large Windows server estate and contribute to infrastructure modernisation.

Hybrid role with 2-3 days on site. Active SC Clearance is required. You will build, configure, deploy, maintain and retire Windows servers, manage Active Directory and VMware vSphere, and develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve security and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Extensive Windows Server administration, builds and maintenance.
• PowerShell scripting for automation of operational tasks.
• VMware vSphere administration; Hyper-V is a plus.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management.
• Server security, patching and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, deploy, maintain and retire Windows servers.
• Manage Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP and VMware vSphere.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Resolve infrastructure issues and deliver patching, upgrades and hardening.
• Support migrations, upgrades and refreshes; document ITIL-friendly processes.

Active SC Clearance is required for this position.

We're working with a well-established organisation in the Financial Services sector to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join its infrastructure team. You'll support a large Windows server estate and contribute to infrastructure modernisation and improvement projects.

Location: Central London
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week onsite

Technology Experience

• Windows Server - Enterprise administration, builds, deployments, maintenance and decommissioning.
• PowerShell - Scripting and automation for administration and operational tasks.
• VMware vSphere - Administration of enterprise virtual environments. Hyper-V advantageous.
• Active Directory - Administration of AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Server Security - Patching, OS upgrades, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Infrastructure Support - Troubleshooting business-critical enterprise infrastructure.

Desirable: Microsoft Azure, MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Linux.
