Job summary

Computacenter in Derby is seeking a seasoned Windows infrastructure specialist to join an onsite team supporting an enterprise-scale environment. You will manage Wintel servers, networking and related technologies to sustain critical services and contribute to ongoing technical improvements.

The role focuses on solving complex problems in collaboration with wider teams and customers, while meeting SLAs and participating in remote on-call support outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a third line capacity in Managed Services providing specialised support across Windows Server Platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to make key technical decisions independently.
• Strong prioritisation and task-management abilities.

You'll join an onsite team supporting a highly secure, enterprise-scale customer environment in Derby.

Working across Wintel server, networking and infrastructure technologies, you'll play an important role in maintaining critical services while contributing to ongoing technical improvement and project delivery.

What you’ll need

Experience/Clearances:

• Either currently holds DV clearance or SC cleared and eligible to undertake DV.
• Experience working of a third line capacity in Managed Services providing specialised support across Windows Server Platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstratable ability to make key technical decisions independently.
• Prioritisation and task management skills.

• Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP, and Kerberos.
• VMware/VxRail.
• DHCP.
• Exchange 2019/SE.
• Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022 & 2025) - including server core.
• Skype for Business 2019/SE.
• Windows 10.
• Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.).
