Job summary

Solutions Through Knowledge is seeking an experienced SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer for VMware and Omnissa Horizon. The role focuses on technical project delivery and platform-level support, with flexibility to assist BAU activities as required.

The position is based in Nottingham with hybrid working. Candidates should have hands-on troubleshooting skills, Windows Server, AD, and data centre experience, and be prepared for an on-call rotation (remote) with rate uplift.

Qualifications

• SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer with VMware & Omnissa Horizon expertise.
• Experience delivering technical projects and providing platform-level support.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and BAU support as needed.
• Collaborating with client teams and third-party suppliers on technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for VMware / Omnissa Horizon and virtualisation technologies.
• Support projects across design, implementation, testing and transition to BAU.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and platform support.
• Support BAU operations and technical fixes when required.
• Collaborate with client teams and suppliers on delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to wider teams.

Day rate: £425 per day - Inside IR35
Duration: 6 months initially
Location: Nottingham - Hybrid

Role

We are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer with VMware / Omnissa Horizon platform expertise.
This role will primarily focus on technical project delivery and platform-level support, with the flexibility to assist with BAU activities when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for VMware / Omnissa Horizon and virtualisation technologies
• Support technical projects across design, implementation, testing and transition into BAU
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and platform support
• Support BAU operations and technical fixes when required
• Collaborate with client teams and third-party suppliers on technical delivery
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to wider teams
