Job summary

Comms-Care Flexible Resourcing is seeking a VMware Horizon Engineer for a remote, 3-month contract. The role focuses on Horizon/VDI infrastructure with 2nd- and 3rd-line support to maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the environment.

Key emphasis is on Horizon 8, with demonstrated experience supporting a Horizon estate. Strong knowledge of Cisco UCS hardware and FSLogix is required to ensure smooth operation of the virtualized desktop infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Horizon Version 8 support, including versions 2212–2312.
• Knowledge of Cisco UCS hardware.
• Experience with FSLogix.
• Experience with Extreme IO Storage.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for VMware Horizon/VDI infrastructure.

Our customer is in need of a Support Engineer to assist with their VMWare Horizon/VDI infrastructure. The position entails 2nd/3rd line support responsibilities, to maintain, support, and troubleshoot any issues to the infrastructure. This is an urgent 3-month remote contract with no on-site travel required.

Key Emphasis is on VMWare Horizon (Version 8), which will be the main focus of this role. You will need to possess demonstrable experience of supporting an Horizon estate.

The Person:

You should possess the following skills to be successful in the role:

• Horizon Version 8 (Particularly with versions 2212 to 2312)
• Knowledge of Cisco UCS hardware
• Extreme IO Storage knowledge
