Richmond Square Consulting Ltd is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Manchester to own, support and secure a large-scale VMware Horizon/VDI environment. You will manage Horizon/Connection Servers, UAG, App Volumes, and DEM, while aligning with security controls in highly regulated UK environments.
The role requires hands-on experience with Horizon, vSphere, and Windows endpoint management, plus strong scripting and automation.
Infrastructure Engineer required by an established innovative and cutting-edge technology organisation delivering highly secure infrastructure and services into sensitive UK environments. They're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience across VMware / Omnissa Horizon, VDI and enterprise endpoint environments. This isn't a generic Infrastructure Engineer position and it isn't a pure Security Engineer role either. The real focus is somebody who understands how to own, support, improve and secure a large-scale Horizon / VDI environment, alongside thin-client and managed endpoint estates.
Current SC clearance is strongly preferred, and you must be willing to undergo DV clearance where required. However, I'm also happy to speak with technically exceptional candidates who do not currently hold clearance but who are eligible and willing to undergo UK security vetting. Naturally, where somebody is not already cleared, I'll be looking for particularly strong alignment across the technical requirement.
Manchester - 5 days per week onsite. There will also be occasional travel to other UK customer / operational sites, so candidates need to be comfortable working primarily onsite rather than looking for a hybrid position.
£70,000-£80,000 basic salary + bonus and benefits. There may be additional flexibility for particularly strong candidates already holding higher-level security clearance.
Current clearance is highly desirable, but don't automatically rule yourself out if you don't currently hold it.
