Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking an Engineering/ Design Manager for the NS&NI practice based from the Manchester office. The role combines agile working from our NS&NI offices with time on client sites, leading design teams across Nuclear, Defence, Energy and Water projects.

You will author and maintain design management plans, ensure QA/QC, coordinate with discipline leads, and drive the delivery of complex design deliverables while mentoring staff and ensuring effective stakeholder

Qualifications

• Chartered professional in engineering or architecture or equivalent.
• Experience delivering design and build or operating commissions on multi‑discipline projects.
• Familiar with BIM and 3D modelling for design and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain Design Management Plan with discipline leads.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are in place and followed.
• Develop and track deliverables and design processes to time/cost/quality.
• Communicate with client stakeholders and manage scope changes.
• Mentor and lead multi‑disciplinary design teams and coordinate resources.
