Job summary

Hill Dickinson LLP is seeking an IT Infrastructure professional to lead and deliver technical projects across Liverpool and Manchester. You will work with the latest technologies, own the delivery of infrastructure initiatives, report to the Service Delivery Manager, and collaborate with enterprise architects and service desk.

The role requires strong VMware, Azure, Windows Server, AD and network skills, plus experience with DR/HA, monitoring, and change management.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of VMware management and maintenance.
Strong Azure knowledge including Entra and app configuration.
Strong Windows Server skills (Server 2016/2019/2022).
Good networking knowledge; basic switch config desirable.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and High Availability.
Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Sites/Services, replication.
Windows file services including DFSR.
Experience with HA for applications and BC/DR.
Monitoring using SolarWinds; SNMP/MIB familiarity.
Telephony knowledge including SIP trunking.
Familiarity with change and problem management.
Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and time management.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the Operational Infrastructure across UK & International offices.
Support corporate goals and business objectives.
Provide technical guidance to Project Managers through lifecycles.
Escalate and assist Infrastructure Analysts with complex issues.
Adopt changes defined by the IT Project Roadmap.
Support IT policies for procurement and services sourcing.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement the IT vision and strategy.
Transfer knowledge to Infrastructure Analysts and Service Desk.
Create and maintain system design docs, test plans, and recovery methods.
