Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join on a 5-month contract in London with hybrid working. The role involves desktop support, remote and on-site duties, and troubleshooting across Windows 10 and Office applications.

You will build and deploy laptops, image setups, and support mobile devices while delivering strong customer service. The environment is fast-paced, with opportunities to work across a broad range of technologies and provide essential IT service support for production

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for production and development systems.
• Deliver remote and onsite support per IT service processes.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and OS issues.
• Support Windows 10 environments and Microsoft Office applications.
• Build, configure and deploy laptops including imaging.
• Perform Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting across desktop and infrastructure.
• Support mobile devices (iOS/Android).
• Provide basic printer support and troubleshooting.
• Assist with hardware refreshes, deployments and software installations.
• Deliver high-level customer service while managing incidents.

We're recruiting for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well-established organisation on a 5-month contract. This role offers a blend of remote and onsite support, providing an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of technologies within a fast-paced IT environment.
The successful candidate will have strong desktop support experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at both Level 1 and Level 2.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for production and development systems.
• Deliver both remote and onsite support in line with established IT service processes.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and operating system issues.
• Support Windows 10 environments and Microsoft Office applications.
• Build, configure and deploy laptops, including imaging and setup.
• Perform Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting across desktop and infrastructure environments.
• Support mobile devices, including iOS and Android.
• Provide basic printer support and troubleshooting.
• Assist with hardware refreshes, deployments and software installations.
• Deliver a high level of customer service while managing support requests and incidents.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Desktop Support role.
• Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop hardware and software issues.
• Experience building and deploying laptops, including imaging processes.
• Knowledge of iOS and Android device support.
• Basic printer support and troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working within enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of server and network technologies.
