Job Description:

Peaple Talent has partnered with a leading professional service company based in central Cardiff, recruiting an experienced Head of IT to lead their IT function. This role supports a team serving approximately 750 staff, ensuring the smooth execution of the IT strategy, managing daily IT operations, and maintaining high standards of IT service delivery and infrastructure security.

Role and responsibilities

• Strategy Implementation: Execute and oversee the existing IT strategy aligned with the company’s goals, ensuring timely delivery of IT projects.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor IT professionals, including the Service Desk Manager, Service Delivery Manager, and IT Security & Operations Manager. Promote a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Service Desk Management: Ensure efficient operation of the service desk, providing excellent support across multiple offices.
• Service Delivery: Oversee IT service delivery, meeting business needs and SLAs, and implementing best practices for continuous improvement.
• Infrastructure and Operations: Lead infrastructure initiatives to ensure reliable systems, compliance, and risk management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management to address IT needs and communicate initiatives effectively.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven senior IT management experience, preferably within legal or professional services sectors.
• Strong understanding of IT service management, infrastructure, and operations.
• Experience in implementing IT strategies and managing large projects.
• Excellent leadership, team development, and communication skills.
• Minimum of 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 2 CSR days, birthday day off, death in service benefit, pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, discounts, and paid professional fees.
