Job Role: IT Business Development Manager (New Business)

Commission Plan: Up to 30% on thresholds being met

Chapman Tate Associates seeks an IT Business Development Manager to join this fast-growing, entrepreneurial, and independent IT firm. You will be based from home but must have a UK Driving License.

My client delivers a range of managed IT Services across Cloud, Compute, Storage, IT Infrastructure, Data Connectivity, and modern EUC workplace strategies. They have developed innovative services covering automation, governance, and security, distinguishing their offerings from competitors.

The company has experienced growth from £2.5 million to £12 million turnover recently and works with enterprise clients on major IT transformation projects.

Your role involves working alongside the Head of Sales and Operations, focusing on generating and winning new business. Initially, 80% of your efforts will be new business, shifting to a 50/50 split over time.

The responsibilities include:

  • Generating and closing new business through client acquisition
  • Qualifying opportunities and driving them through the sales cycle to closure
  • Providing Pre-Sales support to the IT Services team
  • Maintaining CRM records accurately
  • Building rapport with potential clients to understand their objectives and issues
  • Collaborating with operations to align solutions with client needs
  • Delivering professional presentations
  • Writing compelling proposals tailored to client objectives

You should possess excellent commercial acumen and a proven track record in selling managed IT services, especially in Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure. Strong time management, listening skills, and a professional, consultative sales approach are essential.
