Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects, assessing risk areas, especially within the change portfolio. Your insights will help improve business operations for the Board and Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Perform risk evaluations and assurance work on engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies to produce insightful, data-driven findings
• Integrate data throughout the review process, from planning to reporting
• Present clear summaries of risk areas and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or higher in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of modern software development practices like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficiency in working with datasets and structured problem-solving
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is advantageous
