Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects, assess risk areas, and provide insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure within a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations across engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data into all review stages, from planning to reporting
• Present concise risk summaries and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or higher in Computer Science or similar
• Knowledge of modern software development methods such as Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles, preferably in financial services
• Ability to work confidently in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficiency with datasets and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
