Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency is seeking an Information Rights Officer to support the Information Rights service, ensuring requests under FOIA, EIR, and DP Act are handled efficiently and in line with statutory requirements.

You will draft responses, maintain records in the eCase system, advise colleagues, and contribute to information governance and publication scheme efforts across APHA and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FOIA, EIR, and Data Protection legislation.
• Practical experience handling information requests or working in a regulatory/compliance environment.
• Experience in fast-paced settings with varied priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate Information Rights requests, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Manage Information Rights casework, including drafting responses and ICO enquiries.
• Provide guidance on Information Rights legislation and best practices to colleagues.
