Job summary

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) invites applications for an Information Rights Officer to support its Information Rights service. You will help ensure requests under FOI, EIR, and data protection are handled accurately and efficiently, promoting openness and compliance across the organisation.

You will contribute to developing guidance, maintaining publication schemes, and building strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to support APHA's information rights

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FOIA, EIR, and Data Protection legislation.
• Practical experience handling information requests or working in a regulatory/compliance setting.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate Information Rights requests within statutory deadlines.
• Draft responses and support internal reviews and ICO enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records using the eCase system and provide guidance to colleagues on Information Rights.
