Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency is seeking an Information Rights Officer to support FOI, EIR and data protection requests, ensuring deadlines are met and governance is upheld in a fast-paced public sector setting.

You will manage casework, draft responses, and provide guidance on information rights and records management across APHA and partner bodies. A strong analytical and collaborative approach is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FOIA, EIR and Data Protection legislation.
• Experience handling information requests or working in a regulatory/compliance environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with varied priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate Information Rights requests with statutory deadlines and procedures.
• Manage Information Rights casework, draft responses, support internal reviews and ICO enquiries.
• Provide guidance on Information Rights legislation and information governance practices.
