Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist in Infectious Diseases to advance preclinical investigations using the ImmTAX platform and other modalities. The role involves planning and executing experiments, analyzing results, and contributing to pipeline progress in HIV, HBV, and EBV-related programs.

You will work within a matrixed team, collaborate across departments, and present findings at meetings while developing your technical expertise in immunology and virology.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related discipline (0–2 years experience) or a BSc/MSc with significant relevant bench work.
• Experience in bench-based molecular biology techniques and data interpretation.
• Ability to work in a matrixed cross-functional team and present results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute experiments to advance the company pipeline within time/budget constraints.
• Apply molecular and cellular techniques to HIV/HBV/EBV-related research and drug development.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and recommend next steps; present findings in internal meetings.
