Job summary
Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist - Infectious Diseases to contribute to preclinical and translational research using the ImmTAX platform and related modalities. You will design and execute experiments, analyze results, and contribute to cross-functional teams addressing chronic infections including HIV, HBV, and EBV-related diseases.
The role requires a PhD in a relevant field and hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques and immune assays.
Qualifications
- PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology or related field.
- 0–2 years related experience, or MSc/BSc with substantial bench work in relevant areas.
- Knowledge of Immunology and viral diseases (HIV/HBV/EBV) is preferred.
- Experience with CL3 facilities and handling human viruses is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design and execute experiments to advance the company pipeline within time and budget.
- Perform molecular and cellular assays including NextGen sequencing, qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISAs and ELISpots.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and present findings at internal meetings.
- Collaborate across Research and other departments to drive project progression.
