Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist for Infectious Diseases to contribute to the development of therapies using the ImmTAX platform and other modalities. The role spans target discovery to preclinical development, with emphasis on HIV, HBV and EBV-related diseases.

The postholder will plan and execute experiments, work in a matrixed team, and present results at internal meetings while expanding knowledge in immunology and virology. A PhD is preferred with relevant bench experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years related experience; bench-based lab work.
• Proficient in Droplet Digital PCR, NextGen sequencing, Genomics/Transcriptomics, PCR, Mutagenesis, qPCR.
• Experience culturing primary cells and/or cell lines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute experiments to meet project goals within defined timeframes.
• Execute experiments addressing key scientific questions to enable project progression.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and make recommendations.
• Present results at internal meetings and contribute to cross-functional teams.
