Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist in Infectious Diseases to contribute to cross-functional efforts applying the ImmTAX platform and other modalities to novel treatments for chronic infections including HIV, HBV and EBV-related diseases.

You will plan, design and execute experiments across molecular and cellular biology, work in a matrixed team, and present results at internal meetings while building relationships across Research and other departments.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, or immunology, or related discipline.
• 0–2 years of related experience, or a BSc/MSc with significant bench work.
• Experience with key molecular techniques: DD-PCR, NextGen sequencing, Genomics/Transcriptomics, PCR, Mutagenesis, qPCR.
• Experience culturing primary cells and/or cell lines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute experiments to advance pipeline goals within defined timeframes.
• Execute molecular and cellular experiments using a range of techniques as listed.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and make recommendations.
• Present results at internal meetings and establish collaborations across teams.
