Job summary

Oxford Immunocore seeks a Scientist - Infectious Diseases to advance preclinical work in chronic infections. You will design experiments, run molecular assays, and interpret data to guide pipeline progress.

The role requires strong bench skills, independent thinking, and collaboration across teams in a CL3 facility. Essential PhD in a relevant field with up to two years' related experience, or a MSc/BSc with substantial lab work.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology or immunology with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Bench-based lab experience with key techniques listed in the qualifications.
• Knowledge of immunology and HIV/HBV/EBV is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute experiments to support project goals.
• Perform molecular and cellular assays to address key questions.
• Present results in internal meetings and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Expand scientific knowledge through literature review and conferences.
