Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist - Infectious Diseases to contribute to its ImmTAX and related platforms. The postholder will design and execute preclinical experiments, analyze data, and collaborate across Research and Development to advance chronic infection programs including HIV, HBV and EBV-related diseases.

The role requires a PhD in a relevant field and up to 2 years of related experience, with hands-on bench work in molecular biology, virology, immunology, and cellular assays.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with bench-based lab experience in relevant disciplines.
• Proficiency with molecular and cellular techniques listed in responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a matrixed, cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute experiments to support project goals within defined timeframes.
• Address key scientific questions using molecular and cellular techniques including sequencing and PCR.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and make actionable recommendations.
• Expand scientific knowledge in HIV/HBV/EBV biology and drug development through literature and seminars.
