Job summary

Integrated Pathology Partnership is hiring a Medical Laboratory Assistant in Taunton. The role supports infection sciences with specimen handling, data entry and processing, and collaborates with biomedical staff to ensure accurate testing and quality results.

You will work across the infection sciences department, with some weekend, early and late shifts. A robust training budget and wellbeing support accompany a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths and at least one science subject.
• NVQ3 or equivalent level of knowledge, Science A-Levels or a degree entry qualification.
• Good numeracy and accuracy with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist and carry duties in specimen receipt, processing and data entry.
• Rotate through laboratory areas to perform designated duties per procedures.
• Support testing and timely delivery of results under supervision.
• Maintain high standards in line with ISO 15189 and health and safety rules.
• Develop skills through training and professional growth opportunities.
